My Commitment

As an attorney who represents personal injury victims, victims of fraud, and those with workers’ compensation claims, I am proud of my commitment to justice.  I specialize in personal injury, workers’ compensation, and consumer law because my goal is to help people who need help the most. I enjoy assisting my clients with their legal problems because I know how difficult it is to navigate our justice system without help from a lawyer.  I am honored every time a client asks me to assist them with their lawsuit because, without an attorney, my clients would probably experience unnecessary aggravation, unnecessary emotional stress, and risk losing their case.  Even more troubling, without the help of a talented lawyer, many people with viable legal claims often choose to not seek the legal remedies they are entitled to.

Many Minnesotans have legal problems that pertain to consumer law, social security benefits, a personal injury, or a workplace injury.  As an attorney, I am committed to the ideas expressed by Justice Lewis Powell, Jr. that “equal justice under law” is not merely a caption on the facade of the Supreme Court building. I believe it is fundamental that justice be available without regard to economic status.

Before I went to law school, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where I met my future wife.  After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, I applied to law school. I was accepted by the Marquette University Law School and finished in three years with a GPA higher than 3.0.  Following graduation, I moved to Northern California and worked with an attorney with 33 years experience representing personal injury victims.  Overwhelmingly, we achieved successful results for personal injury victims injured in vehicle accidents, in slip and falls, and by defective products.  I am a lawyer with experience working on a wide range of cases.  In addition to personal injury clients, I also help clients apply for social security benefits, victims of fraud, and injured workers.

I would have continued working in Northern California as a personal injury attorney, except that my future wife was going to school at the University of Minnesota and took a job with the public schools.  To be with my wife, I left Northern California and took a job with the City of Saint Paul while I applied to admission to the Minnesota Bar so I could become a Minnesota lawyer.  Soon after, I became a Minnesota attorney after gaining admission to the Minnesota Bar.  At that point, I started my own law practice in St. Paul, with a law practice limited to representing people with consumer law issues, personal injury victims, as well as people with workmans’ compensation claims.  I have helped many clients achieve successful results with their legal matters and have earned three CALI awards for excellence in alternative dispute resolution, advanced tort law, and administrative law.  I am active in my community as a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and an active member of the Ramsey County Bar Association, acting as its community outreach coordinator.

I have a reputation as a talented and energetic lawyer.  I am also a neighborhood attorney with a solo practice.  Instead of processing large volumes of cases, I work one-on-one with each of my clients, taking the time to understand their problems and determine the best way to serve their legal needs.  I make a commitment to always be available to my clients when they need me.  When I am available, I personally answer my telephone when my clients call.  If I am unavailable, meeting with another client, or in court, I quickly and personally return my clients’ telephone messages and emails.

If you have a legal issue pertaining to consumer law, personal injury, or work comp, I invite you to call me for a free case evaluation so I can put my talent to work for you.
