My Commitment

As a Marquette University Law School graduate, I have a strong sense of justice. My diverse background, desire to help others, and experience helping people with a variety of legal problems qualifies me to help you with issues concerning personal injury or consumer law. I am also an effective legal researcher, relying on a variety of sources, such as legal databases and treatises. Before becoming a solo practitioner, I worked for City of St. Paul, performing extensive legal research and solving unique legal problems. My experience in finding creative solutions will put you at ease, in a productive and comfortable environment.

Before joining the City of St. Paul, I worked with a lawyer helping injury victims whose lives have been affected by dog bites, traffic collisions, injuries sustained in a fall, spinal injuries, defective products, and whiplash.

The practice of law is one of the most challenging and rewarding undertakings a person can pursue. A lawyer's highest calling involves helping people who need help the most, after being victimized by the intentional or negligent acts of others.

I am a local lawyer helping my neighbors. I help people who need help the most; I try to get to know my clients and understand the problems they face. There are many types of law that a lawyer can practice. I practice consumer law, personal injury law, and workers compensation law because these important areas have a tremendous positive impact in the lives of my clients. My love for what I do is built on the appreciation my clients express. My passion for what I do is demonstrated by my success and hard work.

My clients get the personalized service they deserve and expect. I personally answer my client's telephone calls and visit my clients at home when their injuries make it difficult to travel to my office. I treat each case I have as if it is my most important case, without regard to the degree of harm the client has suffered. Often, when someone asks me to represent them, I am their last chance at obtaining justice. When a client places their confidence in me to help them work through their most difficult problems, I recognize that they deserve my undivided commitment, attention, and diligence.

Many attorneys charge high hourly rates. When I represent clients who have been injured in the workplace or by careless or intentional acts of another, I recover no fee unless my client is adequately compensated for his or her injuries at the conclusion of the case. If your legal issues involve consumer law, statutes usually require the wrongdoer to pay my fee. If your case settles, I charge only a reasonable fee.

If you have been victimized by someone else's negligence or intentional wrongdoing, you should speak with a lawyer as soon as you can. It is important that you seek advice from a qualified attorney before you discuss your case with others, especially insurance adjusters. You should also have a lawyer with you if you are asked to make a statement or are questioned regarding the issue. If an insurance adjuster offers you compensation, you should speak with a lawyer to ensure that the compensation offered will be enough to compensate you for your damages and pain and suffering. The most common mistake people make after being involved in an accident is not speaking with a lawyer before making important decisions. After an unrepresented client makes a bad decision, even the best lawyer can have a difficult time making things right. I would be honored to help you through your difficult situation and get the compensation you deserve.
