STATE OF MINNESOTA

IN SUPREME COURT

A06-989

In re Petition for Disciplinary Action against
Glen A. Boyce, a Minnesota Attorney,
Registration No. 10352.

O R D E R

The Director of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility has filed a petition for disciplinary action alleging that respondent Glen A. Boyce committed professional misconduct warranting public discipline, namely, engaging in sexual relations with a client, in violation of Minn. R. Prof. Conduct 1.8(j).
By stipulation with the Director, respondent waived his right to respond to the petition and, under Rule 13(b), Rules on Lawyers Professional Responsibility (RLPR), the allegations of the petition are therefore deemed admitted. Respondent has entered into a stipulation with the Director in which they jointly recommend that the appropriate discipline is:
(a) suspension from the practice of law for a period of 90 days, effective 14 days from the date of this order;

(b) compliance with Rule 26, RLPR (requiring notice of suspension to clients, opposing counsel, and tribunals);

(c) reinstatement under Rule 18(f), RLPR;

(d) successful completion of the professional responsibility portion of the bar examination within one year of the date of this order; and

(e) payment of 0 in costs under Rule 24(a), RLPR.

This court has independently reviewed the file and approves the jointly recommended disposition.
Based upon all the files, records, and proceedings herein,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that respondent Glen A. Boyce is suspended from the practice of law for 90 days, suspension to be effective 14 days from the date of this order, subject to the conditions set forth above.
Dated: June 13, 2006
